    Rituals

One of the most important rituals in our lives is sleep, yet it is often overlooked in design. The multi-sensory experiential installation invited the visitors to explore the importance of design in activating their senses and rejuvenating their body and mind. RITUALS suggested using design to rethink the various scenarios associated with our rituals. By establishing a bedtime ritual, being fully present in the moment and engaging all five senses, one can enhance its overall well-being and achieve a restful sleep.

The Lab that Azamit created with Gabriel Luciani & Nicolas Fonseca offers an invitation to step into a world of immersive design and awaking of one’s senses focused on sleep, the ultimate uncontrollable moment of our lives, and a vital part of our most unconscious and involuntary rituals

    Selected by Azamit

Spanning many categories and continents, Azamit’s collection consists of the things she has picked up along the way – and whilst each piece is significant and specific in its own right, she notes that, as a whole, they seem to be linked, “as if they’ve all come from the same place.”

These objects – the books, boxes, beads, masks, bags and clothes – are connected not by geography or era, but by their curator – and so, when seen all together, they seem to speak: telling us what forms she finds to be elegant, which materials she is drawn to, and what kind of stories she wishes to hear, and to tell.
